Reasons For Not Vaccinating My Children #325

Imagine you now have the responsibility of being completely responsible for a child that is your flesh and blood. A new person in this world, and you must protect them from all that is reasonable. I propose to you two facts:

#1: One of every 150 public school children age 8 years old are autistic (2007-2008)

#2: There are many scientific studies proving thimerosal causes autism. Thimerosal is a mercury containing preservative used in Vaccines. (scientific study link) (article link)

Knowing this, would you vaccinate your child? Would you dare to roll the permanently neurologically damaging dice? The odds are 1 in 150! On the other hand, your pediatrician will try and scare you into thinking that you are endangering your child by putting them at risk of getting polio or the mumps. I don't know what the odds are of getting those illnesses, but something tells me they are far greater than 1 in 150.

Maybe before we just jump in and do whatever the government tells us, you should take a step back and ask, "Is this safe for my child?"

  1. I'm a friend of Grandma Honey's...Hi Jill! I have two children on the spectrum. My first son had a reaction to the MMR but we were told that it was mild and had no connection with his later diagnosis of ASD. Unfortunately we had to learn the hard way that for our family there is a connection, despite the assurances of our pediatrician about this. Thanks for sharing and talking about something that health professional tend to avoid like the plague.
